Dear Zitzilla,
Thank you so much for arriving during the holidays. I was genuinely concerned that I would not have the largest zit at the family gatherings. As you can imagine, that was a rather large source of stress. I was so thrilled when I could tell that you was making your arrival a few days ago. I was downright emotional when you made your appearance a couple of days ago. And I must say; you wisely chose a prominent position on a not often thought of area: my chin. There you sit, in all your glory, proud as a war hero that has returned triumphant from battle. Thank you so much for coming; I am certain to be the envy of all that I meet!
Sincerely,
Your Ever Grateful Admirer

Smokey the Hero
I thought that Smokey had just noticed various items stored under the couch while we napped on the floor this morning. I reassured him, and encouraged him and his warmth to return to his perch on my stomach. Later, I was somewhat upset when he sensed my resolve to return to the Land of the Awake and Productive and chose that moment to snuggle down on my chest and turn into the world’s cutest cuddle bug. But when he suddenly aborted his mission of distraction and went on high alert, I knew something was afoot. And then, when he valiantly charged the giant, human-eating spider, I behaved as any weak, defenseless human would. I promptly panicked and searched for the nearest shoe while Smokey gallantly danced in a circle with the spider, swords clashing and insults hurling. My knight in shining fur fought fearlessly until he had successfully chased the dragon-spider back to its cave under the couch. My dauntless hero didn’t even have a whisker out of place, while I am certain that the spider now needs therapy after it’s harrowing experience.
My hero, prior to the spider’s invasion
“Do not fear my poor, defenseless, human maiden. I am here to protect you.”
November Sunsets
The sunsets here lately have been absolutely gorgeous! Here are a few pictures of sunsets over the past few weeks:
Hope you have a great day!

Slouchy Sock Day
Well, today has been a good day. Except, it appears that today must be slouchy sock day. At school, my socks kept slouching down and trying to slide off in my shoes. Now, at work, my knee highs are trying to do the same thing, regardless of whether I am wearing my boots or not. Now what is up with that?
School has been going well, just busy. We will have our last Lab Practical next Monday, a lecture quiz sometime after that, and our final on the 11th. This semester has flown by! I am sad to see this class end since I have greatly enjoyed it, but I am thankful to be one step closer to my end goal! My brain feels happy now that it is getting new knowledge (and being reminded of the old) on a regular basis.
Sadly, there has not been much time for stitching. There has been even less time for stitching than there has been for posting! ;) Hopefully, that will change soon. Or, I'll better manage my time and be able to post somewhat regularly. Seeing how I have said this before, it would be best for us to hope, but not hold our collective breath on it!
And to end on a cute note:
Happy Stitching!

A rainy Wednesday
Whelp, still not too terribly much to report. Life is kind of same-o same- o right now. School is going good. Mom is feeling better, Dad is still sick. Smokey is still ornery as ever. I think I might try to squeeze in a bit of stitching this evening. I’m at work, so we will see how well that goes!
Although I do disagree with the boring part!
Good night, sleep tight, and may your needle fly until we meet again!

Its been a while!
Much has happened. Too much to write in a "quick" post before what will hopefully be bedtime (I'm at work, so we shall see). So, to summarize:
Class is going well. Miss Fluffykins has proven most valuable. Since she is a more difficult specimen, once we are able to easily identify stuff on her, it makes it much easier when we are tested using "better" cats. That said, I greatly look forward to when I won't have to dissect a cat any longer. It is still rather sad business. I am enjoying the class though! It is making a lot of things click. And, on Halloween, we were assigned a partner and drew an A&P themed pumpkin for extra credit.
Not the best work for two adults, but good enough for government work! This was the first break we have had where I had 3 days off of school with everything we've covered so far already tested on. I haven't been able to figure out what I'm suppose to be doing with myself!
Work has been work. Today was the first shift w/ my new full time partner! I haven't figured out a nickname for him yet. Its nice working with somebody that I feel safe with.
Mom's knee is coming along okayish. I don't remeber if I already said this or not, but they took 85-90% of her meniscus out. She has done one day of physical therapy and actually enjoyed it. I'm not sure if she will make it to her next appointment though. She is under the weather right now.
Dad and Kirst are both well. As are the pups and Smokey.
There isn't really much else to report. Tomorrow morning will have me rushing home (hopefully on time) to shower and then run to class. After class, there will be boring errands.

Daisy being surprisingly still.
Banjo loves crunchy leaves!
Banjo is so small compared to Bear (the gentle giant)'s hugeness!
FAll
Aunt Kirstie has Smokey very, very, spoiled.
| What do you think of my look? Fall foliage is very pretty on my way to class.
We had snow and ice towards the end of October. Not only is Walmart jumping the gun on holidays and seasonal decor, but so is Missouri weather!
