Vacation and Prodigal Cats

We’ve been back from vacation for almost a week now. It was a much needed break! I did start a new project while I’m vacation; Sunflower House is taking a hiatus for now. The new project’s name is Little American Sampler by Willow Hill Samplings. I’ve been really enjoying this piece!

Here are a few photos from vacation. We spent part of the time at Williamsburg, VA, and part at the beach at Norfolk, VA. My parents, sister, and I had a great time. Poor Mom was stuck back on her crutches again, starting the day before we left. A blessing did come of it though; we made a point to relax a lot more than we probably would have otherwise. The downside was that we didn’t get to spend as much time at the museums, but I feel that means that we’ll just have to take another vacation to Williamsburg again soon! 😉 Here are a few pictures from the trip:
Ok, one picture. Apparently, my phone is going to be stingy, and not let me scroll down from the last dozen or so photos I took. I’ll try again when I have my laptop fired up sometime in the future. I believe the above photo was taken on the trip home. I’m not sure where we was at when it was taken, but we did have gorgeous views for that portion of the trip!

Mr. Smokey was missing for a couple days after we returned. We think the dogs had been picking on the kitties. Mr. Purrana still hasn’t returned home yet, but it’s not that uncommon for him to stay away at times in the spring and summer. I told Kirst that he probably has a lady friend, or friends, that he is visiting. She told me that she thinks he has a wife. Maybe they’re on their honeymoon. Hopefully he will return sooner rather than later!
Mr. Smokey was kept treed for a day or so, thanks to the orneriness of the dogs. He has been a bit clingy, and became mad at me last night when he saw me packing my work bag...  I don’t know why the “puppy dog look” is called that. Cats have it too.
Prior to the bag-packing incident, he felt that Aunt Kirstie would share her supper...

He also enjoyed many, many naps, cuddles, and treats!

I hope that all of you and your loved ones  have been well

Happy Stitching!
