Puppy pictures

Thought I should post some pics of the puppies. They are HUGE now!!!! They’re waaaay bigger than their momma, that’s for sure!

Daisy

Bear, the heart breaker.

Duke, the goof.

Daisy, the Mud Bud. (Seriously, she can’t resist mud! If there is no mud to be had, she will get in her pool then roll in dirt, or lay out in the rain. That girl loves water and dirt! Bear, on the other hand, cries when it rains and cries if he thinks he’s about to be placed in the pool. Duke varies with his mood.)

Sunday Stitching and Cuddles

I’m still really enjoying this project and the cuddles, even if I am having to pick Smokey’s fur off of  tit! ;)
Happy Stitching!

The Evening’s progress

The stain glass windows are my favorite part! I changed the church roof to 3371 instead of 169. Since I changed that, I didn’t think that the rectangle above the circle window would look right stitched in 169, so I stitched a bell there instead! I hope all of you have a good night and get plenty of rest.
 Good night,

Good morning!

Good morning! Here is where I left off last night:

I’m debating if I’ll need to outline the church or not. I have to admit, if I do end up outlining it, I’ll probably end up wishing that I had ignored the pattern and stitched the entire church in the cream color. Ah well, you live, you learn! I hope all of you are having a wonderful day!

Hope your day

Is as cool as Sadie! I have a new start from last night. It is “Old South Church” from By the Bay Needleart. I’m stitching it on white Aida. I think the only floss change, at least so far, is 3865 instead of white.
The picture above is of my progress from last night. I’ve stitched a bit more since coming to work today; I’m hoping to get some more finished before posting an update picture! I hope all of you are having a good Monday.
 Happy Stitching!

Sun doggies & a finish

So, ever since I was a kid, my Mom would get incredibly excited every time we saw sun doggies. As a result of all the great memories of those times, and that fact that sun doggies are gorgeous, I absolutely love seeing them! They always make me smile, even if it’s a crummy day. I have to say, God seems to be finding things to make smile today- not only did I get to hold a coworker’s 8 week old baby, but I also got to seem some extra gorgeous sun doggies on our way back from a transfer to the Big City Hospital.

I also got to finish Little American Sampler by Willow Hill Sampling’s. She is stitched on white linen (I forget what count) using DMC 823 and DMC 816. It’s been a while since I enjoyed every single stitch of a piece- I didn’t even mind too terribly much when I had to frog a bit!

Sorry about the ridiculously wrinkled and hoop-marked finish pics. Here at work I don’t have my iron. Although, to be perfectly honest, even if I was just chilling at home I still probably wouldn’t have ironed her! I’m sure youns already knew that though! ;)
I hope youns are having a great evening!

She’s almost done!!!!!!

If I get in any stitching today (I’m back at work), my goal is to finish her! I hope your dreams (stitching and otherwise) come true today!

Not too terribly much to report today. Here’s the progress from last night’s stitching:

Snokey’s thoughts on laundry last night::

Smokey’s thoughts on me putting up laundry last night:

Smokey’s thoughts on his Aunt Kirstie cuddling him (and her warm fuzzy blanket):

He is currently ignoring me because I mentioned something about the dogs... Aside from that, not much else to report!

I hope all of you have a wonderful day filled with sunshine and air conditioning!
Happy Stitching!

Not even a full moon

And we were crazy busy yesterday! We ended up getting calls before we could even clear the call we were on 3-4 times in a row! Once ir twice happens, but not that many times! In this next section there may be places that say “today” instead of “yesterday.” I’m too lazy to delete this and start from scratch, so I’ll just try to edit it a bit. I survived mandatory training yesterday!!!! It was actually really cool until the last bit. We spent that time trying to not beat our heads against the table or ask how that was relevant to us (that question results in a rather lengthy lecture and the rest of us are not too terribly fond of the question asker for awhile!) Sunday was spent catching up on some sleep. We got very little sleep Saturday night at work.
I did have fun Monday. I was still a bit sleep deprived, so hopefully I didn’t say anything too goofy when I had lunch with a friend (I know, I was surprised too!) Normally my little introverted self doesn’t get to do lunch with a friend, and especially not a super cool one that totally gets the awkwardness of being an introvert!!!! What’s funny is that we both are totally able to set aside our awkwardness while doing our jobs- although she is much better at that than I am. I am, after all, the girl that thought that my patient was the mother when she was actually the daughter... oops). Anyhow, my friend and I had a wonderful time chatting. And, I now know of a good little Mexican restaurant in Joplin! Yay!
After that, I went down to the college campus on Webb City and got signed up for my A &P 2 class. I am kinda dreading the time it will take, and most definitely dreading the dissection part, but I know I’ll enjoy learning and geeking out over how cool God created us.
*ok, this portion is the here and now writing*
I also managed to get some stitching done!
I finished the red motif by the needleminder, part of the upper border, and the blue diagonal thingie!

Today has been no where near as productive. I left work a bit late since I let myself sleep closer to the time I get off than usual. I don’t regret that decision though- we (Minion and myself) we’re both way too close to falling asleep while driving last night. Fortunately, loud tunes did the trick, coupled with prayers.
Smokey did help me exercise earlier:
He is a great fitness instructor...   As you can see, he does great demonstrating the different cardio moves!

Aside from that, I’ve pretty much just wandered about doing this or that, sang my little heart out in the shower, and fixed Cowboy Nachos for lunch. Methinks I shall alternate relaxing with *fribbling about for the rest of the day. Right now, it’s looking an episode or two of Reba, a couple of Oreos, and perhaps some laundry. I was going to mop, but then it started to rain. What a shame- let me tell ya, I’m just devastated over here. ;) I hope that all of you are having a wonderful day!
 Happy Stitching (and fribbling)!

* I just learned this word! It basically means to putter or fritter about.  It’s  one of my new favorite words now!
